What if I'm not in shape? Can I still participate in martial arts?

Yes — 100%. You do not need to be in shape to start Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. In fact, getting in shape is one of the biggest benefits of training. Classes are designed for all fitness levels, and you'll go at your own pace. No one expects you to be a pro athlete — just to show up, try, and improve a little each time. Most people actually gain strength, flexibility, and cardio because they started, not the other way around. You're more ready than you think.

Is martial arts violent?
